Regarding the very numerous demands for this model, and great interest, we decided to optimize it as far as possible.
Therefore, our first prototype is now dismantled, all the initial test period being done.
We enlisted a lot of desired modifications, plus we decided the abandon of the metallic base chassis (as seen on all other competitive production, not stiff enough, not clean enough, too many parts…) So we are now completing the KISS final, using our traditional technology from the proven XENON.
A new canopy super streamlined is under preparation, much lower profile than the model shown in the AERO.
It will of course retain ultra safety with the integration of strong rollover bars.
All these great modifications explain the extra delay we are taking. But it is worth it !!
We expect this production version to be shown end November.

On tuesday an official presentation of the XENON 2 RST GIII and XENON XL was made to President Medvedev and 7 other Presidents from the former Soviet block by our Russian partners including Roman Putin.
We have today in Russia strong settlements with authorities and major companies to exploit the XENON’s in vast quantities for multiple missions.
The machines are to be produced on place through 2 main factories under construction.
Several big Flight Academies are under preparation, also including modern airplane and helicopter trainings, for private and mainly airline cadets.
We are very proud and happy of the coming events and synergy we have with our Russian partners.

The SKY GUARD program is an emanation of the Polish Vice-Premier Minister Waldemar Pawlak, also Minister of Economy and General Brigadier OSP.
Working closely with him, we set up the program, pilot selection, duties and tasks.
We can now annonce that the first team of 9 pilots candidates have passed the theoritical and medical (CII)exams.
They got their first lesson and approach of the gyroplane XENON 2 RST GII.
Our mission is now to transform them in operational pilots in the best time possible.
Then 2 machines shall start the dedicated public services they are intented to.
SKY GUARDS, operated by OSP personel, will make service in coordination with Police, Fire Guards, Border Guards, Forest Guards, rescue Services…
Making intervention into highway patrol, floodings, fire prevention and coordination, illegal immigrants detection, annimal survey, SAR missions… in a very cost effective way.
The proven XENON gyroplane will operate over all Poland territory, using existing airfields and in creation OSP bases.
This is a world first and unique program. Thanks to the vision of our Minister. We are proud to be partof it.
But already other countries are showing their interest for the same program. We will help them, sharing our experience and technology through the SKY GUARD center officially based in Baranow Airfield.
SKY GUARDS shall make coordination and collaboration with other European Agencies and Civil Security ones.
We make history, this is a chance, and to provide true public service.
We send our encouragements to this first pilot group.
Xenon crossed open sea
For the first time ever an autogyro crossed the open sea to the remote Swedish island of Gotland!
The historic flight took place in a newly delivered Xenon II RT on the fifth of september 2011. The
distance over open sea was about 100 km from Västervik to Visby and took well under one hour at
the height of 4 000 ft in controlled airspace. The trip back was smooth sailing with tailwind and over
160 km/h in GS. The flight was made by Karl Tidlund and Rickard Petrelius.
Historic landing in the city of Stockholm with autogyro
To show the capabillity of the autogyro and create PR Tom Johansson was invited to participate in
“Parkernas dag” in Stockholm. A celebration to the green areas in Stockholm and preservation of these.
The historic start & landing was done at Årsta-fältet, near the famous Globen-area on a grassfield measuring
200 × 200 meters in square, normally used for recreations in different forms. The event took place on
the 27 of aug 2011 in a Xenon II R. The crowd showed great interest in the strange machine and the
crescendo of the day was the historic take-off.

Having stopped the installation of the MGL Odyssey for its too high complexity, we now propose the new Dynon Skyview glass cockpit.
The overall quality is outstanding, the wiring harness a close to perfection, easy to manipulate buttons in flight, great and intuitive menus, stable informations and software.
The mapping once activated at Jeppensen, is outstanding.
On top of all, is available the Dynon transponder, all integrated, saves money and space on panel as well as weight. A must !
I can strongly recommend this installation on the XENON.
It is now my favorite panel. I love its simplicity and precision !

This wednesday was a customer and our french distributor (Gyro Aventure – Pascal Zanin) day for testing the KISS and the Xenon 2 RST GIII Executive.
Definitely our Executive left them speechless…litterally. The new comfort, the silence, the performance… and its sexy look.
But they mainly came to try the KISS 912 S prototype…
Smiles and delighted faces was the result of those demo rides.. The KISS demonstrated its rock solid stability, ultra comfort of the back seat. They mentioned being positionned seated like a Kings !
This is true, as in our KISS the rear passenger benefits from large harmrests, comforming sides providing a sense of home sweet home, space to extend / stretch fully the legs. Rotate on the seat, allowing full movements, yes ergonomics is a prime feature of the KISS.
To resume : Loving’it ! They will now wait for September first deliveries of the final version.

Today we proceeded to test the next version of the KISS with the 100 HP Rotax.
All data / performance calculated showed correct.
A great day for this test, and a nice birthday present for me.
Day conditions:
Temperature 25 degre C
Pressure 1015 mb
Wind 15-20 km/h full cross (90degre) our runway. (not really helping…)
Loaded with pilot 90 kg plus passengers from 70 up to 90 kg, 35 kg fuel.
Take-Off weight was 450 kg
Distance T-O = 100 m
Climb ranged from 700 ft/mn to 550 ft/mn with the heaviest passenger.
Cruise speed at 5000 RPM = 130 – 135 km/h
Top speed horizontal flying = 155 km/h
Approach speed around 80 km/h flare in 5 m. Really easy.
Rotor RPM on cruise 360, and at 60 degre banking 400 (size still our small 8.4m)
Perfect.
KISS shows the same natural and forgiving rock solid behaviour. A pleasure to fly with this added power.
I tried it solo, then wow, that starts to kick !

Climbs 1000 ft/mn
Cruise speed at 5000 RPM = 135 – 140 km/h
Top speed (red zone engine)160 km/h
Rotor 330 RPM, and 370 380 on the 60 degre banks.
An optional VP propeller will definitely increase that top speed.
This is one of the benefil of the KISS, it is designed to accept a lot of options, as per your budget will allow you to do upgrades on the machine.
A pleasure to fly as before.
Next step, we are currently finishing the serial version development. That’s gona be a great hit.

Couple days ago, we had the pleasure to welcome Fire Guards from Baranow (Poland, Warsaw region) with 2 trucks. Arriving at our airfield with force lights and sirens.
At our surprise, around 15 kids from the local school, went down the vehicules. That in the frame of our proposal for educational visit with aviation topics. Starting with intial discovery of airplane and gyroplane. Further on, many of the task involed in flying, aircradt miantenance, aircraft construction.
Kids where eyes and ears open on this first journey. We wish that may provide motivation and ambitions for their future.
Aviation is definitely a rich sector, fulfilling many jobs, passions and dreams.

New XENON EXECUTIVE (XENON 2 RST) was more deeply tested this day. And it went beyond our expectations…
This new XENON, is making a new milestone in the gyro world of side by side, perfomance, elegance, confort, safety.
Rock solid stability, on this very turbulent day, hot, this new Xenon shows its true qualities.
Day conditions :
Pressure 1020 mb – Temperature 30 C – wind (full cross runway) 15 km/h
Machine weight 285 kg – 20 kg fuel – pilot 91 kg – copilot 75 kg
Engine rated at 125 HP – Rotor 8.6m – K2 Variable pitch propeller 172 cm
Take-off distance (cross wind) 100 m
Climb rate at 105 km/h 1050 ft/mn at 5800 RPM rotor at 360 RPM
Right after placing the XENON in level attitude, the speed immediately increases, i have in logic to increase pitch of propeller to maintain appropriate engine RPM.
I stabilise the machine for ideal engine RPM / manifold pressure / throttle position / propeller pitch and obtain a surprising 150 km/h !
My settings are: 5000 rpm engine – 40.0 manifold – throttle midle position.
Fuel flow showing 20.1 l/h.
Exeptional parameters…!
Then i decide to push:
5200 RPM = 160 km/h
5300 RPM = 165 km/h
5400 RPM = 170 km/h
5500 RPM = 175 km/h
5600 RPM = 180 km/h
5750 RPM = 185 km/h
All data recorded by our glass cockpit and GPS, full accurate.
No vibrations, smoth and easy.
Next step to keep increasing perfomances is the fitting of the wheel pants, and the new (under preparation) mast aerodynamic fairing. We expect another increase of 5 km/h
But the right speed to remember is the normal cruise at 5000 RPM / 150 km/h
We could recommend for the ones interested in true performance, to opt for our full carbone version, saving 18 kg, limit the options, and you get a gyroplane flying faster than many litle airplanes !
Thanks for the new shape more aerodynamic, outstanding propeller, we are able to acheive a new market winner.
Production is now fully operative on this model.

We proceeded today to the second intensive test flights campain on the great KISS.
The version tested is the 1+1 with Rotax 912 – 80 HP. Complete cockpit. The cable visible is momentary, to mesure airframe deformations.
Outside temperature was +28 C, cross wind 15km/h.
KISS loaded with equiped pilot (Raphael) 90 kg plus 12 kg of fuel, total = 337 kg
KISS equiped with options such as : rear hydraulic brakes, engine cover and top firewall fairing, MGL Extreme + Garmin AERA + VHF + secondary airspeed / altitude + rotortack
Prerotation to 250 RPM / 3200 RPM on the engine. Propeller set at 12 degre. Rotor dia. 8.4m
T.O distance repeatedly made in 30 meters at 60 km/h
Machine Takes Off in quite level position, no pitching tendency.
Climb speed 85 km/h – 600 ft/mn.
Cruise speed 120 km/h at 5000 RPM, rotor at 320 RPM.
Top speed actual 145 km/H with 5750 engine RPM, rotor at 350 RPM, verified GPS, propeller needs more pitch.
Pitch stability perfect, no need of trims
Roll stability perfect
Yaw stability positive, perfect. Flies and turns, feet on the floor. No need of any coordination.
Full rudder applied both ways, machine returns to neutral itself. No side wind effects on the cockpit.
Thermal activity and turbulences having no effects.
Throttle changes = no PIO, ultra stable. The “T” handles that perfect, as for the XENON.
Joystick forces in the midle range, positive feedback.
Action to increase power = gentle climb ; decrease of power = gentle descent. Perfect.
Tight manoeuvres banks up to of 45 degres, all perfect handling. Smooth and docile.
Vibration level ultra low. Noise ultra low.
Pilot comfort : outstanding ergonomics, no noticable cockpit turbulences.
Fuel consumption estimated around 12 l/h
Total flights times : 2 hours.
Resume : The KISS can be declared as a new winner. Ultra easy handling, all manoeuvres are a breeze and an amazing delight. Feels to fly that KISS for hours non stop, as the global comfort is so high.
We will now keep going on our testing, and improve the finish.
Was a great super day. I am impatient to test the next version 100 HP ! Probably end next week.

Since 2 weeks, we are proceeding to new propeller tests, with several models, in the aim to improve performance overall and mainly noise.
Our final choice was for the Kaspar VP, a superb propeller wood / composites, with wide range pitch change based on a hydraulic system (manual or electronic)
Globally we measured a 20% increase of performances.
Such as :
- 3o meters on take-off, when prop set at min pitch, giving max RPM and max torque
+ 200 ft/mn in climb rate
+ 20 km/h on every dedicated speed / engine RPM
-4 liters / hour of fuel (when set at 2/3 max pitch) on eco cruise
-4 dBa of noise, making it really quiet for the crew and the ground.
The dark side of this propeller ?
+ 6 kg added from the DUC propeller.
obvious complexity of installation and manipulation, requiering an extra training.
Cost with manual actuator 3470 Euros.
But definitely this is worth it. I can then recommend it to anyone on Xenon, and for new future owner to order our carbon version saving a lot of weight, thus the installation of this propeller does not penalise the overall weight.

The XENON EXECUTIVE, making its first appearence at this show is definitely a big hit. With its classic but ultra modern lines, many people said it has a familly look as the elegant Agusta 109. It surpasses with ease the other gyros, even new models presented by the competition as they look like toys, coming out from comics. Well this is what we are reported.
Aviation is very conservative, over advanced and or futuristic designs will attract at first, but people like being in a real aircraft.
Future will tell more.
The KISS, at first impresses by its size, as all other gyros are so small… But very well known physics rules for helicopters for exemple, working the same for gyros, bigger fly better and more stable. So the KISS already finds its way into the market.

Our preproduction model, has made 9 perfect flights, showing perfect stability as its brother the XENON. Smooth and stable on the ground ride, thanks to its wide and suspended landing gear.

We are just back from the famous air show Sun N Fun in Florida USA, deeply disturb by a terrible twister / tornado, destroying 40 aircrafts / helicopters / gyros and displays.
But thanks of the authorities, the hard work of all the volonteers, they managed to have the show go on

Our gyroplanes and more specifically the famous XENON (in versions 2 RST and XL) are used in law enforcement since a few years with success. We are very active in this field, answering and fulfilling many requests.
But it was at our honnor to be selected by the US MOJ / DOJ (Ministry % Department of justice). As 2 or 3 other competitors.

This is an evaluation program, starting after an initial stage of flight tests with a competitor machine the MT03.
Thus they like the way a gyroplane can operate, they did not like the open frame of it and its leisure toy aspect.
We can understand that, as Military and Law Enforcement do need a real workhorse. This is our force at CELIER Aviation, to have on one side great leisure civil versions ; and on the other side, true professional proven models.
Our side by side configuration is by far the most attractive, with the hability to share much more easy information with the second onboard officer. The increadible visibility of the XENON surpasses a conventional tendem. Add to that true long mission confort cabin class, in a nicely shaped crash resistant cabin.
11 XENON (E-LSA) are already flying greatly in the USA since a few years.
Not to mention that the XENON is the ONLY Type Certified machine in its class, build by an Aviation Certified company.
